Looks a young chaser on the up and taken to complete the hat-trick here; suited by the longer trip when winning the Sussex National here a fortnight ago; likely to be ridden positively again and looks to have leading claims.
Monkfish was a very impressive winner yesterday so hopefully we can continue that good form with another NAP winner to start a new week. CHRISTMAS IN APRIL should be hard to beat here for Colin Tizzard and Harry Cobden. He has been impressive the last twice and with the promise of more to come is a confident selection to land the hat-trick. He should go forward as is at his best when into a rhythm and I expect his jumping to get the others in trouble. If keeping tabs Virginia Chick looks the main danger as the market suggests.

Newcastle 2.30 Clondaw Caitlin (11/8)
Progressive mare who has won her last two in good style; particularly impressive on hurdles debut at Wetherby last time benefitting from the step up in trip; almost certain to improve again and looks the one they all have to beat.
Despite having to concede weight all round CLONDAW CAITLIN looks the one to beat for Ruth Jefferson and Brian Hughes. She romped home last time and is the standard setter on that and with the likelihood of more to come should justify her position as top of the market. Whatsdastory improved to win at Southwell last month. She needs more to trouble the favourite but looks the main danger. Gonn Away is another to note having shaped better than the distance beaten at Doncaster on return.
