A RARE BLANK FOR THE NOTEBOOK YESTERDAY SO WE’RE LOOKING TO GET BACK ON TRACK ON TUESDAY!

Sedgefield 1.55 Agent Westy (2/1)

Not had much luck since winning over fences at Fontwell in October; back to form when staying on strongly to win at Fakenham before Christmas and looks well treated from a 3lb lower mark back over hurdles; with a clear round he looks sure to go close.

Back over hurdles AGENT WESTY looks a good bet to exploit a mark of just 87 here for Evan Williams and 7lb claimer Isabel Williams. He looked in rude health when travelling best and pulling clear at Fakenham so if in the same form looks the one to side with again. Haasab won off a 1lb higher mark at Catterick on Saturday so is an obvious danger turned out quickly. Sincerely Resdev was a maiden on the Flat and has taken his time to come together over hurdles but ran better last time so might fill third spot. It looks between the front two for win-purposes though.

Market Rasen 3.15 Hijack (2/1)

Not looked back since sent over hurdles, winning impressively at Ludlow over two miles before beating a solid yardstick in South Seas at the same C&D last month; good attitude under pressure and with further improvement to come should serve it up to the favourite.

McFabulous looked an exciting individual in bumpers winning 3 from 4 starts including the Grade 2 at Aintree’s Grand National meeting. He has failed to fire over hurdles though, getting turned over at long odds-on at Chepstow and then fading badly behind Master Debonair at Ascot. He is worth taking on at the price and HIJACK is the one that catches the eye. He is 2-2 over hurdles and found plenty to prevail last time, bumping his rival briefly before asserting in good style to win convincingly. This is obviously tougher again but I want to keep him on side. Hometown Boy is another to consider as well.

Here you will find our Notebook Double which is profitable to follow. Remember to back the double (and singles) to consistent stakes and you’ll always come out on top in the end. The worst thing you can do is not back them after a blank day.
