Notebook Selection
Kempton 5.30 Omnivega (7/4)
Promising horse who I’ve had in my tracker since finishing midfield on debut at Newmarket last year; best run to date when third here in September, given too much to do; further improvement to come and looks a big player here.
Given the way OMNIVEGA finished his race here last time I think he’s a good bet to go close here under Callum Shepherd. Jamie Spencer gave him way too much to do last time and if ridden a bit closer to the pace up in trip he could easily open his account. Merry Vale sports the first-time cheekpieces and should also have more to offer so comes into the reckoning. Dante’s View is bang there on the figures so if either of the front two fail to progress he could pick up the pieces but might be value to hit the frame anyway (check the place market specifically).
Notebook Selection
Kempton 7.30 Manjaam (3/1)
Tricky sort but plenty talented when he puts it all in; went close at Wolverhampton last time, probably doing too much too soon but sticking to the task; leading player on form and looks sure to go close racing off the same mark.
Even with his quirks I’m expecting MANJAAM to go close here on just his second start for David Loughnane. He ran well when second last time and if settling better might finish his race better. What we do know is he is handicapped to win so with a bit more luck in the run could take a bit of stopping. Continnum won well over C&D 35 days ago but isn’t the most consistent type so is probably worth opposing. Seaport is the one I fear most as he did well to win last time and is a decent price in the market (might be worth a saver). This does look tougher though.
Notebook Double
Here you will find our Notebook Double which is profitable to follow. Remember to back the double (and singles) to consistent stakes and you’ll always come out on top in the end. The worst thing you can do is not back them after a blank day.
