5-time C&D winner who was better than ever running down Sky Defender to win a shade cosily over track and trip last month; up another 7lb but hard to oppose in current form and the hat-trick looks on the cards.
Another winning NAP yesterday as Battle Of Marathon picked up well off a strong pace to win again! That was our seventh winner from our last eight selections and our fifth winner in a row. We stick at Lingfield for Saturday’s best bet and EL GHAZWANI looks worth sticking with to record his sixth C&D win. He conceded first run here last time and did well to run down Sky Defender. He is up another 7lb but is progressing nicely and with a similar scenario likely to pan out here he is a confident selection to come home best under Andrea Atzeni. Mr Scaramanga looks the main danger.

Haydock 2.40 Sir Psycho (6/4)
Progressive horse who has won two of his last three; took it up going best at Exeter before powering clear; stable won this last year with a similar type in Quel Destin; likely to have improved again and should be hard to beat.
Fingers crossed Haydock gets the go-ahead on Saturday as SIR PSYCHO looks a great bet to win a race Paul Nicholls has taken twice in the last four years. He won by a wide margin at Exeter and is likely to have improved again so should be too hot to handle here. He is on an upward curve and looks one to keep on side. Gerolamo Cardano won nicely at Hereford and improved to finish third at Cheltenham behind a nice type in Galahad Quest so should put up the most resistance. Rockadenn is an intriguing French recruit who shouldn’t be completely ruled out either.

The Daily Double consists of both the NAP and NB and is a great way of covering our two best bets of the day to maximise profit. They run at Haydock and Lingfield on Saturday.
