Useful type who belatedly got off the mark in December and hasn’t looked back since winning three of his last four; on an upward curve and won with a bit in hand at Wolverhampton last time; capable of defying a 7lb rise.
The way GRIGGY has been winning it’s extremely hard to oppose him here. With Mykindofsunshine and Fancy Flyer likely to force the pace this could set up for a closer and I doubt anything will be finishing as well as him under Adam Kirby. He is arguably unlucky not to be coming here off the back of a four-timer as Joey Haynes got it all wrong two starts back so a mark of 65 almost certainly still underestimates his ability despite the 7lb rise. He beat Swissal last time but that rival has since won so he probably rates the biggest danger, if there is one.

Kempton 3.55 Rainbow Dreamer (10/11)
Talented sort who completed a hat-trick of wins at Wolverhampton last time, quickening clear and holding on well; beat some good horses that day and is clearly thriving so looks a good bet to land the four-timer; Oisin Murphy another plus.
King’s Advice is an admirable sort but he was well held on return at Lingfield and might need this too. He never looked dangerous the last day and bumps into a horse at the top of his game in RAINBOW DREAMER. That has been reflected in the market and I expect Alan King’s 7yo to come out on top. Oisin Murphy is booked for the ride which is another plus and hopefully he holds all the aces. Chipiron comes over from France but it would be a big upset if he proved good enough to turn over the front pair. Hopefully the favourite will justify his short-price tag.
