NAP – Best selection of the day
THE NAP RUNS AT MUSSELBURGH ON WEDNESDAY & WE’LL BE LOOKING TO GET BACK ON TRACK!
Musselburgh 2.40 First Account (6/4)
Chased home a useful yardstick on chase debut at Hexham before improving to open his account over fences tackling a shorter trip here last week; still looked quite raw so likely to come on plenty racing off the same mark now sent back over timber.
There was a lot to like about the way FIRST ACCOUNT stayed on strongly to open his account over fences here last week. He switches back to hurdles now off the same mark and with further improvement on the cards looks the most obvious winner. This longer trip looks ideal (won his point over 3 miles) and barring any jumping errors should win. In terms of a danger Trongate ran well when second to a smart looking prospect here last time in Nineohtwooneoh so should hit the frame at a nice price.
NB – Second best selection of the day
THE NEXT BEST RUNS AT SOUTHWELL ON WEDNESDAY AS WE LOOK TO GET BACK ON TRACK!
Southwell 3.05 Split Down South (7/4)
Done nothing but improve and comes here having won two of his last four; beaten just a head by course specialist Silverturnstogold in November so acts well on the surface; better than ever finishing best last time and sure to go well under a penalty.
You guys know our love for this horse SPLIT DOWN SOUTH and I can’t get away from him again here. He couldn’t be in better form and is proven on the surface so what’s not to like? He only ever seems to do just enough so he might still have a bit of scope yet. Coolagh Magic has won here before and despite his losing run is mounting up he’s definitely a danger as is Private Matter who has the blinkers back on. Hopefully this is run at an end-to-end gallop as that will suit the selection.
Daily Double
The Daily Double consists of both the NAP and NB and is a great way of covering our two best bets of the day to maximise profit. They run at Musselburgh and Southwell on Wednesday as we look to get firmly back on track.
