NAP – Best selection of the day
THE NAP WAS BACK TO WINNING WAYS ON WEDNESDAY AS FIRST ACCOUNT STAYED ON STRONGLY!
Ludlow 5.00 Demopolis (5/4)
Taken his time to get things right but everything seemed to click tackling fences for the first time when sweeping through to win over two miles here last week; clearly well handicapped so no surprise to see them try and exploit his hurdle mark here.
A lot like the NAP yesterday First Account this is a horse that won over fences and has been switched back to the smaller obstacles to take advantage of his handicap mark. DEMOPOLIS was held up the last day but always travelled stylishly and pegged them back one by one before drawing clear after the last. He races off the same mark here back over hurdles and with similar tactics likely to be applied he should be the one finishing best. Sarasota Star should have more to come now handicapping so is entitled to be on the premises and Alltimegold is another to note following a wind op.
NB – Second best selection of the day
THE NEXT BEST ALSO WON YESTERDAY WITH SPLIT DOWN SOUTH STAYING ON READILY TO WIN AT SOUTHWELL!
Musselburgh 3.17 Celtic Flames (7/4)
Course winner off this mark and ran well when third at Kelso last month; this looks a good opportunity to get back to winning ways with all three rivals having something to prove; most likely winner.
With Taunton off we have a replacement NB for you today and head to Musselburgh. CELTIC FLAMES ran well at Kelso and given he is a past course winner from this mark he’s expected to go close under Derek Fox. Ubaltique appears to be the main threat but for me isn’t running well enough to win this so I’m passing him over. King’s Wharf is respected as he has had a wind op and the market is suggesting he should at least run his race. I’ll be disappointed if the selection can’t win this though and win it well. While Sword Of Fate is the rank outsider given the nature of the race you can’t fully write him off.
Daily Double
The Daily Double consists of both the NAP and NB and is a great way of covering our two best bets of the day to maximise profit. They run at Musselburgh and Ludlow on Thursday as we look to follow up yesterday’s 9/2 winner!
