Cheltenham Festival Acca

ADD OUR 35/1 CHELTENHAM FESTIVAL ACCA STRAIGHT TO YOUR BET365 BET SLIP

Here you will find our Cheltenham Festival Acca! This includes some of our best bets across the week combined to make an accumulator which we’ve backed to win (not each way)

We’ve focussed on four races and I’ve tried to go against the obvious (by not including Paisley Park and Tiger Roll)

Tuesday 4.10 – Close Brothers Mares’ Hurdle
Wednesday 1.30 – Ballymore Novices’ Hurdle
Wednesday 5.30 – Weatherbys Champion Bumper
Thursday 2.50 – Ryanair Chase

ADD BENIE DES DIEUX STRAIGHT TO YOUR BET365 BET SLIP

I was quite surprised to see Honeysuckle confirmed for this race after rumours circulating she might chance the Champion Hurdle. She is undoubtedly a talented mare given she has won every race she has contested. She was massively impressive powering clear to beat Bacardys by 9 lengths in the Hatton’s Grace but was made to work hard to keep that unbeaten tag at Leopardstown last time. I didn’t like that run much at all. She was keen and lost her place before rallying to scramble home. With another 50 yards Darver Star would have swept past so it was hardly ideal prep heading into the Festival. BENIE DES DIEUX however couldn’t have been anymore impressive in the Galmoy, winning by 21 lengths on the bridle. I think at this stage of their careers she is the better mare and should have too much. She would have won the race last year but for a tumble at the last and the softer ground this year should help her jumping. I really don’t see her getting beat and even at 8/11 she makes appeal. For me she is one of the ‘bankers’ of the week.

ADD ENVOI ALLEN STRAIGHT TO YOUR BET365 BET SLIP

For many this is their Cheltenham banker and while I don’t see him as completely bombproof I do think he’ll win. It’s a Ballymore with strength in depth with the likes of Sporting John, The Big Breakaway and The Big Getaway all looking big dangers. I fell in love with The Big Breakaway when he won at Chepstow and while I struggled to go against him the slight set-back he suffered coupled with the fact I think he’s a chaser going forward was enough to put me off in the end. I can see him running well without quite being sharp enough on the day. Sporting John really impressed me at Ascot and backed that up on the clock too so I’ll probably end up backing him each way on the day as a saver. ENVOI ALLEN should have all angles covered though. I think he’s a bit of a monster and he should extend his unbeaten run here and make it 4-4 over hurdles. He has passed every test put in front of him and is still open to improvement. He looks uncomplicated and bar his price I can’t really see what’s not to like.

ADD APPRECIATE IT STRAIGHT TO YOUR BET365 BET SLIP

I try not to have a strong opinion in this race as in general I’m not a fan of Bumpers’ but APPRECIATE IT just looks to have to turn up to win this. He improved a chunk from his debut third at Fairyhouse to run away from the opposition and win by 6 lengths at Leopardstown. He made every yard that day and stayed on strongly. He then followed up at Leopardstown, powering clear at the finish. They’ve made it no secret what they think of him and I can’t see what gets near him. It won’t surprised me if they bounce him out and try and make all as he just looks to have everything you want in a race like this. He should gallop them into the ground! Ferny Hollow has looked promising so might be a value play to grab a place. Panic Attack looked an exciting filly when winning at Market Rasen by 10 lengths and is another who might be worth backing to place or in the without market but in truth I can’t see them beating the favourite. At a huge price Eskylane might out-run his price-tag having done it nicely at Navan last time but this is the favourites to lose.

Fourth and final selection in the acca

ADD A PLUS TARD STRAIGHT TO YOUR BET365 BET SLIP

Our final selection in the Cheltenham Festival Acca runs in the Ryanair on Thursday! A PLUS TARD tanked through the Close Brothers at least years Festival before easing clear to win by 16 lengths for Henry de Bromhead and Rachael Blackmore and while he is in Grade 1 company this year he looks to have a leading chance on the form he’s shown so far this season. He looked to need the run on return at Navan finishing second to Ballyoisin but improved on that to lower the colours of Chacun Pour Soi at Leopardstown over Christmas and should prove too strong for Min here. It’s not just a two-horse race but I do think the pair will battle this one out. Frodon knuckled down bravely to fend off Aso when winning last year and is respected again while Ascot winner Riders Onthe Storm can get involved if over those excursions as it looked a gruelling race. I just think the favourite is improving all the time and he has clearly been targeted at this given how lightly raced he has been this season. I know his trainer is extremely bullish on his chance.
