OUR FIRST NOTEBOOK HORSE RUNS AT NAVAN!
Navan 2.20 Instant Return (2/1)
Improving hurdler who looked better than ever winning well at Naas last time, finding plenty under pressure at the finish; yard going well and everything looks in place to land the hat-trick; obvious chance.
We head to Ireland for our first tracker horse of the day and INSTANT RETURN looks primed to go close as he seeks a hat-trick of wins. He did it well at Punchestown following a big run at Limerick and followed up at Naas last time, digging in bravely to overhaul Laura Bullion. Pasley was in third so the form has a solid look to it. He is up 7lb so will need more again but you’d be foolish to rule out further improvement and I think he looks the most likely winner. Ardamir ran well last time and rates the biggest danger.
Notebook Selection
Newcastle 3.45 Ladronne (2/1)
Improved plenty since sent over hurdles getting off the mark over C&D in January before following up impressively at Southwell last weekend, some 27 lengths clear at the line; this is tougher but he should keep progressing so likely hard to beat.
There should be more to come from LADRONNE so he is taken to complete a hat-trick of wins at Newcastle this afternoon. He won over C&D two starts back and followed up head in chest at Southwell last weekend. He is turned out quickly before the handicapper is able to put him up so he’s definitely the most likely winner here for me. I was pleasantly surprised to see the 2/1 on offer, although even at the time of writing the price is getting backed in so he could end up going off short. Rath An Iuir looks a danger.
Notebook Double
Here you will find our Notebook Double which is profitable to follow. Remember to back the double (and singles) to consistent stakes and you’ll always come out on top in the end. The worst thing you can do is not back them after a blank day.
