Notebook Selection
OUR FIRST NOTEBOOK HORSE RUNS OVER AT SOUTHWELL TODAY!
Southwell 3.00 Haasab (7/4)
Back to winning ways at Catterick in January and backed that up when runner-up at Sedgefield last time, pulling well clear from the rest; remains well handicapped off 106 and Jonjo O’Neill Jr. is an eye-catching booking.
No joy for the Notebook yesterday but we’ll be looking to bounce back today and HAASAB looks a good bet at Southwell for Laura Morgan. He pulled nicely clear when finding Sincerely Resdev narrowly too strong last time and he remains well handicapped. This looks a very winnable race and I’ll be disappointed if he can’t make it 2 wins from his last 3. Manor Park pulled too hard last time and probably just about represents the main danger if settling better here.
Notebook Selection
Kelso 3.10 Scottish Accent (9/4)
Improved again on handicap debut up in trip when third at Catterick last time; didn’t look the most straightforward so no surprise to see headgear reached for; remains unexposed and looks good value against the favourite here.
Now I know SCOTTISH ACCENT isn’t the most straightforward of individuals but he remains open to improvement and his unexposed profile is very appealing in a race like this. I’m expecting him to take another step forward in the first-time headgear and he could definitely overhaul the favourite Skyhill, who does look the biggest danger. Island Heights is another to consider having ran with credit when third back from 15 months off the track. He’s entitled to improve so comes into the reckoning.
Notebook Double
Here you will find our Notebook Double which is profitable to follow. Remember to back the double (and singles) to consistent stakes and you’ll always come out on top in the end. The worst thing you can do is not back them after a blank day.
