NAP – Best selection of the day
THE NAP RUNS AT THURLES ON SATURDAY AFTERNOON!
Thurles 1.40 Fakiera (5/6)
Definitely improving as showed when chasing home Jon Snow at Leopardstown last time, well strung out in behind; another step forward should see him open his account; cramped odds but most likely winner.
I think it’s safe to say FAKIERA has done little wrong in a handful of starts to date. He chased home Entoucas at Naas in February still looking a little rough round the edges and improved again to finish second to Jon Snow at Leopardstown last time. He still has potential and with further progress on the cards he should open his account here. Arthurian Fame disappointed his allegiance of followers at Clonmel so needs to bounce back but would be a danger if doing so and can chase the selection home.
NB – Second best selection of the day
THE NEXT BEST RUNS AT THURLES THIS AFTERNOON!
Thurles 4.10 Myth Buster (7/4)
Found Grade 1 company behind Faugheen too hot at Leopardstown last time but previously ran well when third to Easy Game and Allaho and that form gives him a leading chance in this field especially if jumping better.
I’ll be disappointed if MYTH BUSTER doesn’t go close here for Henry de Bromhead and Rachael Blackmore. He was given a tough task last time (and his odds at 50-1 reflected that) so back into easier company he can open his account over fences. There is room for improvement in his jumping but just going that stride slower in this company should help. He is being well backed in the market too which is another positive. Salty Boy should build on that fourth last time so rates one of the main dangers in this field.
Daily Double
The Daily Double consists of both the NAP and NB and is a great way of covering our two best bets of the day to maximise profit. They both run at Thurles on Saturday afternoon (only meeting again).
