We’ve had a good look at the Australian racing overnight with the focus on Geelong, Gosford, Cairns, Albany and Pakenham.

Knuckled down in likeable fashion to make a winning debut here three weeks ago, seemingly always in control; sure to improve on that initial effort and bred to relish a mile and further in time; taken to remain unbeaten.

This is the first time we’ve tipped Australian racing and after a couple of hours in the form book CARPOOL KARAOKE rates a first-class bet at Pakenham on Thursday morning. He won well on debut three weeks ago and looks a horse to follow. They clearly know what they’ve got with him as he was well backed just before the off the last day. With improvement on the cards he looks a good bet to follow up. Fairy Wand is another going the right way and looks the main danger to the selection.

Race 7 Gosford 6.55 Daphne Jean 3/1

Unbeaten in two starts to date narrowly getting the better of Lancer last time, finishing well to get there on the line by a nose; that horse has won since so the form has been franked; needs more again but improving and strong pace to aim at should help.

We head to Gosford for our Australian NB on Thursday morning and the improving DAPHNE JEAN is taken to come out on top for Kim Waugh and Grant Buckley. She timed it to perfection the last day and will need more again in a tougher race but she could still be anything and with a strong pace to aim at I would rather be a backer than a layer that she can run them down again. Badia is a big danger but has a tough draw to contend with. Texas Forever still has potential and should also be involved.
