Filly on the upgrade judged by her gutsy second over 6 and a half here last month; winner looks a nice filly so the form should work out well in time; probably needs to improve again but every reason she will and looks sure to go close.
The Notebook has been red-hot lately landing 7 winners in the last 6 days. Ancona won impressively at Will Rogers yesterday and we’ll be looking to add another couple of winners tonight. We head to Gulfstream for our first selection and REITERATE is taken to justify strong market support here. Jockey Tyler Gaffalione is in great form (44.44% strike rate in the past fortnight) and this filly is taken to get the better of Richies Great Girl. That second last time was a big run and if she builds on that I can’t see her beaten here.

Race 8 Oaklawn Park 10.38 Town Champ (5/2)
Useful type who has won two of his last three and lost little in defeat when a clear second over track and trip when last seen last month; should find this easier and bar Tuggle sets a high standard for them to aim at; likely to go forward.
There is a fair bit of speed on here so as long as it doesn’t become too much of a burn up TOWN CHAMP should string these out. He is a smart horse on his day and ran a big race in tougher company when second over track and trip last time. In calmer waters he looks a very good bet at around the 5/2 mark. He only had to be shaken up to go clear and win the time before that so certainly knows where the winning line is. Tuggle is a danger on the inside and American Mandate should also be thereabouts.
