THE NAP (BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 9 AT OAKLAWN PARK TONIGHT!
Race 9 Oaklawn Park 11.09 Candy Cornell (9/4)
Showed a smart change of gear to leave a subsequent winner standing over track and trip last month; a lot to like about how he kicked clear late having asserted and this looks a bit easier if anything; strong claims of landing back-to-back wins.
Magical Mike finished best of all at Gulfstream yesterday to land our NAP at 2/1! We head to Oaklawn Park tonight in a bid to follow up and CANDY CORNELL catches the eye in the penultimate race on the card. He has plenty of experience on side and put it altogether to win convincingly over track and trip last time. The form has been franked since with the second Town Champ winning last night. This looks a good opportunity for him to make it back-to-back wins and I’m quite surprised to see 9/4 on offer. Thought he’d be shorter!

Race 4 Tampa Bay Downs 6.52 Honesta (5/2)
Tracked the pace through before looking menacing on the turn until finding the winner too strong; pulled away from Bella Linda in third though so that run suggests she is improving and could easily take another step forward here; big chance.
Blue Mistress could turn out to be pretty useful so it might not have been a bad effort finishing second to her last time. HONESTA looks ready to strike for Jose Delgado and Tomas Mejia and doesn’t look to be bumping into anything of that calibre here. Clean Fun and La Wapa should put good speed to the race which should help the selection get a good toe into it before pouncing on the turn for home. Bella Linda looks held on that recent form so perhaps Born To Groove will put up the most resistance.
