Useful sort who is chasing a hat-trick of wins having landed back-to-back races at Sam Houston the last twice; swung wide to run them down impressively in February and backed that up over the same track and trip latest; this tougher but clearly thriving.
The way PROSPECTOR FEVER has mowed them down the last twice has been mightily impressive and I know this is harder (as reflected in his price) but with the likes of Souixper Charger, Sunday Sermon and Piece Of Work likely to force the pace this could be set up for his finishing kick. If it does pan out favourably I can’t see anything living with it as he was well on top last time despite leaving it late. Lieutenant Powell is the one I fear most as he is dropping in grade and should still have more to offer.

In the form of his life winning three of his last four starts; fended off rivals one by one last time before holding on narrowly; this probably not as competitive so obvious chance of notching up another win; take a good one to go past.
It’s a bit of a wait for our second tracker horse of the evening but hopefully worthwhile as the thriving FRENCH QUARTER looks to add another win to his already glittering CV. He showed a great attitude to prevail last time and while he needed the line he had done plenty in the race, seeing off rivals one by one before holding on. This slight drop back in trip should only play to his strengths and he’s expected to go in again. Hard to pinpoint a danger but Nick The Cardshark might be value to hit the frame at a big price.
