Promising filly who made the perfect starting winning over course and distance on debut last month; still travelling strongly coming down to two out and stayed on readily to win with plenty in hand; open to plenty of improvement.
There was a lot to like about the way SAINTE CANDY saw off Anita Du Berlais over C&D last time and she is taken to confirm that form here and make it 2-2. She put in a brave leap at the last and quickly settled it. I thought it was eye-catching how strong she hit the line and it will take a brave man to oppose. 7/4 looks very fair all things considered and it won’t surprise me if she goes off shorter. Pamela Des Mottes also made a winning debut and looks one of the main dangers.

Auteuil 3.25 Dream Wish (5/2)
Likeable type who ended last season with a Grade 2 success in the Prix Congress Chase justifying favouritism; encouraging effort on return when third here last month; sure to improve for that and taken to reverse the form with Al Cuarto and Road Senam.
Given DREAM WISH meets both Al Cuarto and Road Senam under better weight conditions and will be fitter for his reappearance he looks a good bet to come out on top in the Grade 2 Prix Jean Stern Chase at 3.25 on Sunday. The market has latched on as he is the 5/2 favourite. Al Cuarto is the danger. Road Senam was sent off favourite against them last month but has his work cut out again to turn the tables. It’s an intriguing race but fingers crossed we have figured out the puzzle.
