Promising chestnut filly by Night Of Thunder; overcame inexperience to make a winning debut at Beverley before bumping into exciting prospect Mild Illusion at Newmarket; that looked a strong race so sets the standard coming into this; likely to have too much.
I can’t wait for racing to get going again here and MAGICAL JOURNEY looks a filly to follow in the Novice Stakes on Monday. She is a smart filly in the making and made the perfect start at Beverley before pushing a very nice horse in Mild Illusion close at Newmarket. With further improvement to come she is expected to prove too strong for last time out winner Art Power and intriguing debutant Continental. At a huge price it wouldn’t surprise me to see Manumission run well being by Muhaarar.

Huge eye-catcher on debut when flashing home for a never nearer second over a mile at Kempton; winner has franked the form since; failed to build on that at Sandown since but was slowly away and never involved; given time since and up to 1m2f for the first time.
We’re giving BYZANTINE EMPIRE another chance in the Maiden Stakes at Newcastle on Monday. He is by Golden Horn and couldn’t have been any more promising but for winning when flashing home for second on debut. Things didn’t go to plan next start at Sandown but given time since and likely to have matured plenty this looks a good opportunity for him to get back on track. He will relish the extra yardage going up to 1m2f for the first time and could be one to follow not just today but going forward too.
