Race 9 Gulfstream 9.52 Overnight Success (10/11)
Improved since switching back to sprint trips and ran a very encouraging race when second at Fair Grounds back from a 3-month absence; over four lengths clear from the rest; sure to step forward from that and looks the most likely winner.
Venezuelan Hug finished like a train to get up and win at Gulfstream last night. It was a ride that split opinion but for me Ortiz always looked confident and got there a shade cosily in the end. We’ll be hoping to follow up tonight and OVERNIGHT SUCCESS looks the one to be on in Race 9 on the card. He has done well since coming back in trip and if building on that reappearance run looks a good bet to go one better. Lack of pace the only potential disadvantage but should still prevail.

Race 10 Gulfstream 10.24 Whiskey Sunrise (10/11)
Improving type who won easily over track and trip on penultimate start before bumping into a progressive colt over C&D last time; more to come from this unexposed sprinter and looks the one to side with tonight for sure.
We stick at Gulfstream for the NB tonight and WHISKEY SUNRISE should prove too strong in Race 10. He bumped into Tap It To Win last time and that colt looks very useful so the form should work out. The pair were over six lengths clear from the third so in a different league. He is unexposed having only had three starts and will have tons more to come. Short in the market but with good reason. If there is a danger it’s probably Game Boy Benny who landed back-to-back wins before running creditably up in grade last time.
