Tuesday’s UK Notebooks

Great to have racing back and the action continues on Tuesday with action from Newcastle and Kempton. Two horses have caught the eye at the latter, fingers crossed they both go close!

Kempton 1.35 St Gallen (11/4)

Improved for the switch to Olly Murphy with a brace of hurdle wins in May; came up short upped in class in July but catches the eye off a good mark back on the Flat having undergone wind surgery; should run a big race.

This is a competitive handicap but the one that stands out to me is ST GALLEN for Olly Murphy. He made a really bright start for Olly Murphy over hurdles and while he came up short in a Listed contest last time he could be potentially well handicapped now back on the Flat. He scored twice in this discipline in Ireland so clearly has plenty of ability. There are one or two unexposed sorts in here but if he runs his race he looks sure to go close under Oisin Murphy. Olympic Conqueror is probably the one I fear most of all.

OUR SECOND TRACKER HORSE RUNS AT KEMPTON ON TUESDAY!

Kempton 5.05 London Eye (10/3)

Tough sort who often caught the eye when trained by Sir Michael Stoute; ran a big race at Goodwood behind the progressive Dreamweaver but couldn’t quite kick on; now trained by Harry Fry and the booking of Ryan Moore catches the eye; gelded ahead of return.

I was a big fan of LONDON EYE when he was with Sir Michael Stoute and while he never paid his way he very much catches the eye here on debut for Harry Fry. He has been gelded since we last saw him and that could be the making of him and he certainly has plenty of ability. This is a nice starting point for him and I think a mark of 72 underestimates him if he can put it altogether now. Ryan Moore has also been booked which seems fairly significant to me. Malika I Jahan can improve too so is feared most.

Tracker Double

The Tracker Double consists of both Notebook runners. Remember these are profitable to follow as singles so it’s always worth combining them as a double to maximise profit.
