Improving colt who put it altogether to win his maiden at Toulouse last month, picking up best on the turn for home and seeing it out strongly; rate the second too so the form should work out; more to come and looks a good bet to follow up.
This looks a good opportunity for THE SHARD to follow up following his convincing maiden success at Toulouse last month. He seemed to find plenty once straightened up and was always on top near the finish. The second ran on really well and is our Next Best today so hopefully the NAP will give that a nice boost ahead of the next race. Lethal Force filly Grey Mystere is probably the main danger but she did disappoint at Lyon and will need to improve on that to put up a challenge.

La Teste De Buch 12.25 Gelinotte (9/4)
A lot to like about the way she ran on over this trip at Toulouse last month, chasing home The Shard; beaten just a neck at the line but was keeping on well and with further improvement to come could easily open her account here.
We stick with the improving GELINOTTE for our Next Best at La Teste De Buch on Wednesday. She was always well placed last time but I liked the way she ran home fast once angled off the rail and with that experience under her belt she can go one better here. This looks easier and I think she’s good value to turn over the favourite Vikala who is possibly priced up on connections rather than what she has achieved. She did catch the eye on debut here but at the same time is probably too short in the market.
