Gleneagles colt who made the perfect start winning by a short head going away on debut at Fontainebleau; the front pair came nicely clear from the rest of the field too; sure to improve on that initial effort now the penny has dropped and should be hard to beat.
A good card from Clairefontaine on Thursday and Gleneagles colt MEASURE OF TIME is a standout on the card for Andre Fabre and P C Boudot. There was a lot to like about the way he ran down Lawman colt Jeri and he would have learned plenty. The pair were comfortably clear from the rest and both look pretty useful. He will come on plenty for that and should make it 2-2 here. Ilyouchkine needs to improve on his last run but will be fitter now so is respected. Glory Maker also thereabouts, plenty of experience to draw on.

Clairefontaine 12.10 Moujik (5/4)
Made a winning debut in October and while he ran below market expectation on return he looked to need the run taking a blow in third; more to come now and should take a step forward; likely hard to beat if he does.
This looks a good opportunity for MOUJIK to make it two wins from three. He shaped well at Saint-Cloud last time and with usual improvement should be hard to beat. I expect Demuro to have him well placed and I think he’ll be finishing strongly. Great Deal won his maiden at Angers last month. This is harder, especially against the favourite, but looks a danger if stepping up on that. Oxalis can’t be ignored either as he also made a winning debut but failed to fire up to Group company last time. Should be in the mix.
