Sea The Stars filly who created a big impression quickening up smartly to run them down at Kempton on debut; confirmed that initial promise to win at Sandown before running a big race in defeat second to Max Vega in the Zetland on final start; more to come.
A lot went wrong for MISS YODA at Newmarket but she ran on well to finish second to Max Vega. That horse didn’t shape badly on return at Kempton on Wednesday and I do think it’s a good piece of form. She was awkward leaving the gate at Newmarket and raced keenly but comfortably proved best of the rest. I think she’ll improve again now and she’s expected to be too strong for these. The extra yardage should be right up her street and even at 11/8 she looks a good price. Heart Reef is probably the one I fear most.

Newmarket 3.35 Ghaiyyath (6/4)
2-2 at this track and blew the opposition away at Meydan in February; this obviously tougher but should get on the lead and dominate and could prove extremely tough to reel in given the fast conditions; most likely winner.
A good renewal of the Coronation Cup and GHAIYYATH should justify favouritism for Charlie Appleby and William Buick. He is a bit of a freak this horse and while he needs to dominate to be at his best that may well happen here. Stradivarius can race handily and obviously stays further so won’t be too far away but I think the selection will dictate and could be away and gone under Buick. Defoe is probably the one I fear most as he won this last year and is a high-class sort.
