Newmarket 2.25 Terebellum (6/4)
Lightly raced filly who could really kick on this season; won a Group 2 in good style at Deauville before only beaten narrowly in the Prix de l’Opera on final start last campaign; can take this before going on to better things.
This looks a good starting point for TEREBELLUM. She could be open to a serious amount of improvement now and I think she’s one to stick with. There was a lot to like about the way she won that Group 2 in France and she is taken to get the better of this small but select field. Godolphin also have Magic Lily but she was kept busy in Dubai over the winter and while she should be fit she lacks the scope to improve as much as the selection I think. Still a danger as is Queen Power but she’ll need to learn to settle.

Lingfield 5.30 Lady Bowthorpe (2/1)
Likeable filly who won impressively here over 7f as a 3yo, making all the running; beaten just a neck at Sandown and then ran huge again at Newmarket filling the same position; by Nathaniel so can improve again and one to keep on side if fit on her return.
The market will be informative but LADY BOWTHORPE should have the beating of these if fully wound up on her return. She won here as a 3yo and could improve again now given her pedigree. Corazon Espinado and Baby Steps are likely to force the pace but the selection could go forward too. Hopefully she’ll just tag on so she’s in the box seat to pick them up. Dragon Sun is 6lb higher than when last seen finishing third at Chelmsford. He’s still a danger though as should also have more to come now.
