Haydock 6.10 Maori Knight (7/4)
Camelot colt who first caught the eye shaping promisingly on debut when third at Newbury; never landed a blow next start but confirmed that initial promise to make all up to a mile at Chelmsford; more to come as his stamina is drawn out.
This looks a good chance for MAORI KNIGHT to win again for Richard Hughes. He steps up a further two furlongs in trip and is bred to do better over this distance so is expected to prove too strong for these. There’s potential for a soft lead too so I expect Shoemark to take this race by the scruff of the neck. He should be hard to reel in given the ability he showed when winning at Chelmsford last time. Crystal Pegasus can improve and might emerge as the main danger but Salamanca School is also respected given the yards form.

Lingfield 5.45 Pretty Lady (7/4)
Promising type who has taken time to come to hand but ran her best race to date when fifth at Chelmsford last time, only beaten a length and a quarter and did too much early; better than this mark and yard going great guns so what’s not to like?
The money has come for PRETTY LADY here and I think she’ll open her account. She ran her best race so far on handicap debut at Chelmsford last time and dropped back to the minimum can take full advantage under Connor Beasley. The stable are in great nick right now and hopefully this is another winner. Saras Hope and Ice Ice Lady can go forward too but hopefully the selection will secure the lead. Street Life is the danger chasing a hat-trick but he does have a career high mark to defy.
