THE FRENCH NAP HAS WON TWICE IN THE LAST THREE DAYS!
Compiegne 3.45 Sicaire (7/4)
Took a while to get off the mark but did so in good style in a similar event at Le Croise-Laroche, finding plenty for pressure; held off a previous winner in second too and that form looks the best in the race; encouraging second on return; the one to beat.
I’m expecting the favourite SICAIRE to prove too good here. He stuck it out bravely in testing conditions on penultimate start and shaped well on return finishing second at Vichy with the front pair clear. He will strip fitter for that and is hard to oppose in a winnable race. At a bigger price Dandy River could go well. He isn’t getting any younger but certainly knows how to win. Might be worth an each way saver as hard to recommend much else.

Compiegne 1.25 Alcama Doloise (11/4)
Ran home strongly for a comfortable success at Longchamp on return, just hands and heels riding; looks well placed to follow up and is hard to oppose in a similar race here; should be finishing best under Pasquier.
Hard to ignore ALCAMA DOLOISE here for Bonin and Pasquier. She picked up readily under just mild urgings to run away with it at Longchamp last time and if she comes with a similar run here in the closing stages she will be tough to stop in a bid to follow up. Riquet is at least consistent so should be thereabouts. It’s a really weak race. Bowling Green might emerge as the main threat as he wasn’t beaten far last time and will come on for that. It’s the favourites to lose though.
