Looked a work in progress last season finishing third on debut over 6f at Newbury before improving to finish fourth at Leicester over 7f beaten just two lengths at the line; can improve now sent handicapping and should exploit a mark of just 73.
This looks all about Kingman filly WOODHOUSE for Sir Michael Stoute. She showed promise amidst greenness last season and while she didn’t set the world on fire she goes handicapping now off a mark of just 73 and should be too good here. This stiffer test of stamina is ideal and she looks poised for a big run. I can see Risk Taker running well at a price for Clive Cox. He had excuses on both runs as a 2yo I thought and should come into his own over this sort of trip. Should run a place.

Goodwood 3.25 Glenties (7/4)
Clocked a good time finishing third at Haydock on return behind two smart sorts in Walkonby and Kipps; can improve on that now and this small field scenario is likely to suit as can see him dominating from the front under Fanning.
This looks a good opportunity for GLENTIES to make the breakthrough. He is a useful colt who has some strong form in the book and I’m confident he’s going to gallop these into submission off the front. He should get things his own way and Goodwood can be a tricky track to run a horse down that is finding and in a rhythm. Bright Eyed Eagle is the obvious danger but I’m not completely convinced by him and he’d have to produce it before I could consider backing him. Gibraltar is certainly no back number either.
