Somehow she remains a maiden but she won’t get many better opportunities to get off the mark so today could be the day; nothing wrong with her neck second over this trip at Vaal last time; similar effort should be good enough to see her home in front.
It looks to be D-Day for PEACEONTHEROCKS at Turffontein. She has been a beaten favourite on her last four occasions but this looks the easiest assignment yet and it will be majorly disappointing if she doesn’t prove good enough. Even running to that form that saw her denied a neck last time would be good enough to take this out and you’d anticipate improvement from that so she can’t be opposed. Making A Scene makes his debut and would be a danger if he’s forward enough. Probably need the experience.

Turffontein 1.20 Gentleman’s Wager (6/4)
Smart type at this level and has three wins on the board; held his form well since bolting up at Greyville, finishing a close-up fourth next start and then running on for third over C&D in a better race than this; very good chance.
I’m expecting GENTLEMAN’S WAGER to be rewarded for his consistency here. He can beat this bunch and based on his last two runs since winning he is remains in good form. Stately Home finished fourth at Vaal on her return from 152 days off the track so can improve on that. Probably the main danger! Hard to recommend much else really in a race lacking strength in depth. Sammi Moosa might outrun her price but it’s a place chance at best I’d say.
