Likeable mare who found plenty to make a winning return over C&D earlier this month; well handicapped on old form up just 2lb and obvious chance of following up facing some of those same rivals again.
Turned out quickly under just a 2lb rise VAMPISH looks a good bet to come out on top in the lucky last at Beverley on Tuesday. She is off a mark of just 63 now and won off 69 at Wolverhampton as a 4yo so is handicapped to go in again. I liked the way she kept finding more last time and up against some of the same rivals she can confirm that form and prove it was no fluke even though she went in at 20/1 on that occasion. This lacks quality so it’s a good opportunity for connections. Zabeel Star is the obvious danger up against.

Kempton 8.55 Anno Lucis (3/1)
Left 2yo form well behind when going down just three-quarters of a length over C&D last time having been slowly away; scope to improve and looks a good bet to turn that form around here with the 4lb swing; obvious chance.
It’s been a good start to the season for Sir Mark Prescott and he looks to have another good chance of a winner on Tuesday night in the shape of Mastercraftsman gelding ANNO LUCIS. He ran a cracker on return from 217 days off the track when second to Camouflaged and has a 4lb swing with that rival now. He will improve and should reverse the form. That horse is a danger again though as he ran well when third at Leicester and is also going the right way. The lightly raced Thai Power is also noted.
