Thursday’s UK & Irish Notebooks

We head to Haydock and Leicester for our trackers on Thursday. We hit a rare blank yesterday so hopefully we can get it back firing before we head into a busy Friday and weekend.

Notebook

REMEMBER THE NOTEBOOK IS PROFITALE TO FOLLOW!

Haydock 5.20 Dreamweaver (9/4)

Progressive form last season and shaped as though needing the run on return behind Palavecino at Kempton; that form has already worked out since and still has scope off this mark; sure to go close.

Looking forward to seeing DREAMWEAVER out again for Ed Walker. He is a useful sort and he caught the eye on return shaping well until giving way late. He will strip much fitter for that now and can go close off a mark of 79 (4lb higher than last winning mark). He is lightly raced for his age and could still do better so looks worth keeping on side for now. Heart Of Soul and Chief Craftsman should ensure a decent tempo and he can swoop late. Rake’s Progress probably the one I fear most as he’s only up a 1lb for that recent second.

THE SECOND NOTEBOOK RUNS AT LEICESTER ON THURSDAY NIGHT!

Leicester 7.25 Jeanette May (9/4)

Relished the step up to a mile springing a 20/1 upset on return running a career best at Yarmouth over this trip; remains well treated following a 3lb rise and looks worth siding with to go and follow up; hard to oppose.

There didn’t seem to be any fluke about the way JEANETTE MAY scored on return at Yarmouth. She can kick on now and the assessor has only raised her 3lb for that. It’s hard to be massively confident at this lowly level but you’d be surprised if she didn’t have more to come and this could pan out favourably so 9/4 looks very appealing. Act Of Magic chased the selection home in fourth last time and is back on a potentially lenient mark so is feared most but I’d be surprised if he managed to reverse the form.

Tracker Double

The Notebook Double consists of both tracker runners. Remember these are profitable to follow as singles so it’s always worth combining them as a double as well to maximise profit.
