Nice looking filly who ran her best race to date back from a 122 day absence to finish fifth over 7f here last time, only beaten two and a quarter lengths; second has won since so boosted the form; sure to improve and the one to beat here.
The South African NAP continues to go from strength to strength and we head to Vaal today in search of another winner. SULTANAH should prove hard to beat in the Maiden Plate over a mile at 12.55. She is getting better with experience and ran well last time in a bunched finish involving some useful sorts. This looks a great opportunity for her to make the breakthrough and that’s reflected in her price. Olivia was last seen finishing behind the selection at Turffontein and is the closest in the betting so says it all.

Promising individual who has won two of his last four and looks to be improving all the time; well on top the last day and looks the one to beat in this field if fit and ready to go back from a 103 day absence.
I liked the way VASEEM ran down Arapaho at Turffontein last time. He showed a real likeable attitude to reel him in and was nicely on top at the line. He had to challenge right across the track so had every chance to dodge it but kept finding to eventually prevail in good style. That horse has ran well since so it’s solid form especially in the context of this race. Riverstown is the obvious danger as he ran well when third here last time and has some good form in the book. Definitely between the front pair with the fav the one!
