THE US NAP RUNS IN RACE 8 AT BELMONT ON THURSDAY NIGHT!
Race 8 Belmont 10.04 Casino Grande (6/4)
Unbeaten colt who won impressively at Gulfstream over a mile when last seen; improving all the time and looks well placed to complete the hat-trick; plenty of pace on so can just track the speed before proving too strong in the straight.
Looking forward to seeing CASINO GRANDE out again for Christophe Clement. He looks a colt going places and while this represents his tougher task to date he is open to plenty of improvement and won in the style of a promising young horse last time. Irad Ortiz is in the saddle and he looks a good bet to make it 3-3. A strong pace looks ideal and it will give him something to aim at in the straight. Sonneman is also chasing three wins in a row and is feared most but he might just be bumping into one.

Race 8 Woodbine 12.15 Buttermilk Pike (2/1)
Romped home to win by 7 lengths over 5f here earlier this month and hard to oppose off the back of that; good early dash to get on the speed and dictated throughout before readily asserting; similar tactics likely to be employed and could get a soft lead.
We head to Woodbine tonight for the NB Stateside and BUTTERMILK PIKE looks a good bet to repeat that 7 length romp here. He powered home to win comfortably and with potential for a soft lead on the cards again tonight he could prove tough to reel in. Maximum Perfection looks the main danger. He was well held last time but should step forward from that physically given it was his first start since November last year. Hard to see what else will get involved but perhaps Lyrical Note can improve.
