A good card from Scottsville on Saturday and WINTER SMOKE looks a lovely filly in the making. She made the perfect start dotting up on debut at Vaal and with the step up to 6f likely to unlock some further improvement she is difficult to get away from here. It’s a good race so she will need to improve but it would take a brave man to oppose her after that explosive performance first time up. Vernichey beat Slalom Queen last time and comes here chasing a hat-trick. Definitely a danger! Delta Queen is also in the mix.

Smart type who has won 6 of her 7 starts; showed a good attitude to win again back from 123 days off the track over 5f at Kenilworth; fascinating race in the making with Celtic Sea and looks good value to come out on top.
Celtic Sea is obviously a very good filly and she won in good style at Vaal over this trip last time. She is bumping into RUN FOX RUN here though and that filly is improving fast so is taken to come out on top. She has won 6 of her 7 starts and is extremely hard to pick holes in. She beat the boys in good style last time and they are yet to reach her ceiling. Looks value in the market and I want to keep her on side. True To Life and Pretty Young Thing are certainly no back numbers in what looks a mouthwatering race on paper.
