Striking chestnut who is a half-brother to Calvary who won four times over 5f; went down narrowly on debut beaten just half a length by Wuhan when second over 6f here last month; sure to build on that now and clearly the one to beat.
The South African NAP runs in the very first race on the card at Fairview today in the shape of CALGARY for Yvette Bremner. He is a promising colt who went close on debut. A repeat performance would see him take a bit of beating under Wayne Agrella. Given the majority of this field lacks any experience I’m expecting him to push forward again and try and see them all off. Danilo finished one place behind the selection on debut but failed to build on that last time. Still looks the most conceivable danger.

Fairview 2.35 Duke Of Cards (5/2)
Smart type who has won three times from 6f to a mile on polytrack; shaped well when third over 6f here last month and looks a major player if improving on that now; looks the trainers leading chance.
Trainer Alan Greeff saddles four of the nine horses lining up here and DUKE OF CARDS looks to be his best chance. It’s competitive but this Duke Of Marmalade gelding looks poised to run a big race. He would have needed the run on return from 129 days off the track last time and if tightening up physically will go very close. He won three of his first five for this trainer so has been on an upward curve since switching hands. Stablemate Tarsus is probably the biggest danger. He ran a big race when second last time.
