NAP – Best selection of the evening

THE NAP RUNS AT HAMILTON ON SUNDAY AFTERNOON!

Hamilton 1.20 Twilight Prince (11/8)

Twilight son colt who shaped with an abundance of promise when second on debut at Redcar, beaten just a nose by a horse with more experience; penny seemed to drop late and rattled home, narrowly failing; sure to know more now; big chance.

We head to Hamilton for our best bet of the day on Sunday and Richard Fahey’s TWILIGHT PRINCE looks a good bet to go one better on just his second start on a racecourse. He ran a cracker on debut and was unlucky not to get the verdict given how much ground he made up. He should be more streetwise now so with that experience under his belt can open his account. He is open to plenty of improvement and looks the most likely winner. Kodi Bear colt Bergerac shaped well on debut too and looks the main danger.

NB – Second best selection of the day

THE NEXT BEST RUNS OVER IN IRELAND AT CORK ON SUNDAY AFTERNOON!

Cork 2.40 Eastern Voice (11/8)

Promising colt who has stepped forward with every run; narrowly denied on second start at Naas, denied just a neck by an Aidan O’Brien colt; improved again when third in a Listed race at the Curragh behind Frenetic; hard to oppose here.

With further improvement to come and the step back up to 6f firmly in his favour EASTERN VOICE looks a good bet to open his account for Jim Bolger and Kevin Manning. He was a bit unlucky not to win his maiden at Naas and stepped forward again to finish third in a Listed race last time. That form looks the best on offer and with further gains likely he should open his account at the fourth attempt. Joseph O’Brien’s filly Dense Star can put up the most resistance. Shaped well in two starts to date and can improve again.
