THE DAILY NAP (BEST BET) RUNS AT FONTWELL ON TUESDAY AFTERNOON!

Fontwell 4.20 Fume (7/4)

Failed to fire in three runs over hurdles last winter but got his head back in front on the Flat at Lingfield last month and appeals as the type to do better now sent handicapping; looks well placed to open his account in this sphere.

It’s a combination of potentially a very well handicapped horse and a good opportunity that makes FUME such a strong bet here. He should be better than a mark of 98 and if he shows improved form then he is sure to go close in this company. Gary Moore does well with these types and he jumps off the page to me. Nachi Falls won at Newton Abbot last time but isn’t one for maximum faith and has failed to back up good efforts in the past. A 6lb rise gives him plenty to think about. The favourite looks sure to run a big race to me.

Beverley 5.05 Lismore (9/4)

Likeable filly who is chasing a hat-trick following wins at Chepstow and Bath; well on top despite being slowly into stride back in trip last time and will relish going back up to two miles again; 6lb higher but more to come so should be going very close here.

The progressive LISMORE looks worth keeping on side as she looks to land a hat-trick. She is sure to be suited by this stamina test and should extend the winning run despite a 6lb rise. Wadacre Galoubet is the closest in the betting following his win over C&D last month. He did get the run of the race on that occasion and has his work cut out for me if he is to hold off the favourite. Deposit dug deep to win at Bath and could emerge as the main danger to the selection.
