THE NAP (BEST BET) RUNS AT LINGFIELD ON THURSDAY!
Lingfield 3.20 Tanfantic (1/1)
Smart type by Gutaifan; made the perfect start winning at Windsor on debut running on well despite racing keenly; things happened too quickly at Sandown but did good work late; tough ask latest and will find this much easier so obvious chance of bouncing back.
We head to Lingfield on Thursday afternoon for our best bet and Brian Meehan’s TANFANTIC looks a good bet to get back to winning ways. He looked promising on debut winning comfortably at Windsor with the stiff finish suiting and while he has failed to really back that up since he has had excuses for me. He was taken off his feet on rattling fast ground back down to the minimum at Sandown and then did too much early in much better company at Newbury. This is a great deal easier and he should prove a cut above these. Mirror Kisses is the obvious threat but she’ll need to improve again to put up a fight.

Sedgefield 2.50 Arthur’s Sixpence (5/4)
Progressive gelding by Vinnie Roe; stepped forward with every run since the restart winning gamely at Uttoxeter before improving to beat a good horse on the nod at Market Rasen; proved there was more to come hacking up at Fontwell last time and still ahead of the handicapper.
Extremely hard to get away from ARTHUR’S SIXPENCE here. He is on a real roll at present winning his last three and was mega impressive last time winning by some 17 lengths. He is turned out quickly under a penalty before his new mark comes into effect and he should rack up the four-timer with a minimal of fuss. David Bass has been on board for all three of the victories and has clearly established a good partnership with him. This is a good race so he’ll need to be at his best but it’ll take a brave man to oppose. Kitty’s Light won last time and probably has more to come so is feared most. 6lb rise makes it tougher bumping into a promising rival but should still give his running. Oscar Rose can often flatter to deceive but is another to note. Doesn’t find much for pressure though so passed over.
