Improving sort who caught the eye when third to Cozone over C&D up to this trip for the first time; made the breakthrough despite pulling hard at Newbury last time and a 6lb rise doesn’t look enough to anchor him.
I’m really keen on the chances of SWEET REWARD at Sandown on Monday evening. He is firmly on the upgrade judged on that Newbury win and back at this venue he has an obvious chance of following up off a 6lb rise. I’ll be surprised if he isn’t better than a mark of 75 in time it’s just whether this comes too soon. If Kingscote can get him settled there could be even more to come as he must have a big engine to produce that change of gear despite how keenly he went early last time. Alborkan makes his handicap debut for a yard among the winners and has to be respected. Looks the main danger to the selection.

Southwell 4.25 Tattenhams (5/2)
Useful filly who put in a career best winning impressively at Hamilton 18 days ago; 7lb higher and has to prove herself on fibresand but looks well placed to follow up and should take all the beating with the promise of more to come.
Sticking with the improving TATTENHAMS at Southwell on Monday afternoon. She looked in good form with herself at Hamilton and can improve again to take this out. I don’t see why she won’t take to the surface and I think she’ll be too strong for her rivals here. She travelled strongly before keeping on well to win last time and that high cruising speed will stand her in good stead on this surface. Artillery is lightly raced and could have more to offer so is feared for a top yard. Born Leader is by Nathaniel and could also do better so has to be noted especially with the red-hot Hollie Doyle in the saddle.
