Race 11 Churchill Downs 9.39 Newspaperofrecord (4/5)
Exciting filly who bolted up by 4 lengths on return in a Grade 3 at Belmont; backed that up in Grade 1 company at the same track last time, always finding enough; this competitive but she is the class act and hard to oppose.
Can’t wait to see NEWSPAPEROFRECORD at Churchill Downs tonight. She is a filly going places and she should win this if reproducing that form that saw her successful in Grade 1 company at Belmont in June. I’m not saying this will be easy as there are some smart types in opposition but she should have all angles covered and that’s very much reflected in her price. Juliet Foxtrot used to be trained by Charlie Hills and has done well since heading Stateside. Not beaten far in top company last time and may emerge as the main danger to the selection. Irish raider Beau Recall has also been running to a consistent level and finished second to the selection at Belmont. Can run into a place.

Race 9 Saratoga 9.21 Dr Post (10/11)
Tough colt who landed back-to-back wins at Gulfstream before going down all guns blazing behind Tiz The Law at Belmont on his first try at Grade 1 company; excuses when only third last time and no surprise to see him bounce back now.
Keeping the faith with DR POST here as I think he is a very good horse who could go onto better things. His second to Tiz The Law was a huge effort and I’m willing to forgive him that run last time. Happy Saver and Celtic Striker should take each other on up front and set it up for the selection in the straight. Mystic Guide is probably the one I fear most as he looked good bolting up by 5 lengths on his second start. Ran well behind Country Grammer in a Grade 3 here last time and should give the selection something to think about if building on that. Happy Saver is a stablemate to the selection and is 2-2 but I just think the favourite will be suited by coming from behind as they could go too hard up top.
