Race 3 Louisiana Downs 10.01 Just For Casey (1/1)
Bounced back emphatically to win by over 15 lengths when last seen and this looks easier on her return; good starting point and with the promise of more to come comfortably rates the one to beat.
The last time we saw JUST FOR CASEY she won by over 15 lengths so freshened up since (98 day absence) she makes plenty of appeal in a bid to follow up. This looks easier so it will be disappointing if she can’t back that effort up. Malartach has won both starts impressively on dirt but has failed to fire the last twice in stronger company on turf. Looks the main threat to the selection as she should also have more to come after just five career starts. Madison’s Wild One deserved to get her head in front last time but may find this a bit too competitive. Should run her consistent race though so cannot be entirely ruled out. I like the favourite a lot after that last performance so she should be too good.

Race 6 Thistledown 8.20 Cryptonic Catwalk (11/10)
Improved gradually and did well to land back-to-back victories towards the end of last season; two creditable efforts since the restart and should be hitting peak fitness now; drops back to 6f which could be the key to her.
They stepped up to a mile with CRYPTONIC CATWALK last time following a really promising return and I think that counted against her. Back over 6f here and an emphasis on speed again should see her at her best. She looks a cut above these so if it does pan out favourably there is only one winner for me. She should get a good toe into it off Star Of Pride before proving the stronger in the straight. Weekend At Last looked good on her penultimate start but failed to match that last time. She has been given 3 weeks since so if bouncing back would definitely make a race of it. Hard to see anything else proving good enough. Secret Formula is held on all known form and was poor last time.
