Lope De Vega filly who first caught the eye beaten a length by Glen Force at Thirsk; outpaced at Pontefract next start before winning impressively up to this trip for the first time at Redcar; up 9lb but can settle better so open to further improvement.

The NAP is on a good run at the moment as we landed back-to-back winners on Wednesday. We head to Ayr on Thursday afternoon and WONDROUS WORDS looks well placed to follow up for Roger Varian. She did it nicely up to this trip last time relishing the extra yardage and a 9lb rise shouldn’t be enough to stop her going in again. Ray Dawson has been riding well and claims a handy 5lb off her back. She was quite keen the last day so if she settles better she should have even more in the tank. Salsada has won her last two and is lightly raced so can do better too but I think she’ll have trouble containing the favourite who is hard to oppose.

Yarmouth 4.10 Ville De Grace (5/4)

Likeable filly who showed plenty of ability to win on debut at Kempton last time, notably strong at the finish; should know more now and open to plenty of improvement so big chance of making it 2-2 despite conceding weight all round.

Sir Michael Stoute doesn’t usually have them ready to go on debut so it was all the more encouraging to see VILLE DE GRACE make a winning start under Ryan Moore. She is open to plenty of progress and looks well placed to make it 2-2. She faces some well-bred newcomers but experience should count for plenty so she is fancied to defy a 7lb penalty and follow up her Kempton success. Arousing is the most intriguing debutant for William Haggas. She is closely related to One Master so it will be interesting to see if she is well supported in the market. Even so I want the favourite on side after that impressive start. The Circus has the most experience to draw upon but has enough to prove at present.
