Lingfield 3.40 Shalaa Asker (5/2)
Promising colt who showed improved form to open his account at Chelmsford 9 days ago, hitting the line notably strong; looks to have plenty in hand at these weights despite a 6lb penalty; tough to oppose.
Last time out winner SHALAA ASKER looks to have been let in lightly for his nursery bow and even with a 6lb penalty he is tough to oppose with further improvement on the cards. He really hit the line strong at Chelmsford and looks one to keep on side. Lynns Boy was well backed when third at Kempton. He is off the same mark here so looks most likely to emerge as the danger. Colombe went off too hard at Sandown but is another one who could step forward now handicapping. However you break it down though the favourite is hard to get away from given how impressive he was the last day. Not a bad race but he should have these covered.

Lingfield 3.05 Don’t Look Back (11/4)
Oasis Dream colt who caught the eye on debut running with promise in fourth; form worked out well with second and third winning since; can improve a chunk off the back of that and should be going close here.
The original NB was a late NR this morning so we’ve replaced it. We stick at Lingfield now for both our best bets and DON’T LOOK BACK looks ready to strike for Richard Hughes. He looks the type to improve plenty from that initial effort and if he does he will have a big say in the finish here. That debut form has worked out well enough for me with both Recovery Run and Arsonist both looking useful individuals. He was a little outpaced that day keeping on into fourth and the step up to a mile can help him step forward enough to make the breakthrough. Dawn Approach filly Absolute Scenes is the most interesting newcomer and she has been well backed this morning too.
