THE US NAP (BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 4 AT FINGER LAKES ON MONDAY NIGHT!

Race 4 Finger Lakes 7.31 Oxley Gap (10/11)

Useful type who won four times last year from just six starts; needed the run back from 266 days off the track but improved when third last time and should be fitter now; big chance back up in trip.

He’s not getting any younger but OXLEY GAP took a big step back in the right direction last time and if he builds on that he will be hard to peg back here. It looks a very good chance on paper and hopefully he makes the most of it. He will be fitter now and should go from the front and get first run on this field. He ended last year in great form winning two from three to cap off a fine season and is still more than capable. Masterkey likes to be held onto before looking to close up late and may end up getting going too late. Still has to be considered but does have a bit to prove off the back of two poor runs latest. Curlin’s New Moon will find this easier and may emerge as the main danger.

Race 5 Thistledown 7.50 Cristalinda (13/8)

Consistent filly who continues to knock on the door; seemed to be travelling notably well before rider dropped the whip last time, eventually finishing second; more to come and this easier if anything so big chance.

Got to be with CRISTALINDA here as she continues to run well and deserves to get her head back in front again. She is a strong travelling sort who needs a good pace to aim at. I think she would have gone close last time before the rider dropped the whip. This could set up for her closing style and I can see her being strong in the betting in the run up to the race. Nan’s Rose is lightly raced and she won really well in an easier event on penultimate start. Looks the one to step forward and give the selection a race so the market has it pretty much spot on. Wafflesorpancakes has potential too but is stepping up in grade and may struggle to contain the front pair.
