Best bets Stateside on Sunday night
Sky Sports Racing have live coverage of US Racing tonight and we have covered several meetings and picked out our best bets.
NAP – Best selection of the evening
THE US NAP (BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 6 AT KEENELAND ON SUNDAY NIGHT!
Race 6 Keeneland 9.00 Golden Pal (4/5)
Well regarded colt who made an encouraging start finishing second on debut before being denied just a neck in the Norfolk at Royal Ascot; improved to open his account at Saratoga last time and should be lots more to come yet.
Hard to see past GOLDEN PAL here and I expect him to go off a short price come post time. He looked the winner at Royal Ascot before being chinned by The Lir Jet and built on that again to bolt up at Saratoga last time. He’s unexposed and there could be plenty more to come yet so he is a confident selection to take this under Tyler Gaffalione. Wink is the closest in the betting but she had no more to give when headed last time so may have her work cutout again against a promising sort. Good With People has won two from three on dirt and now tackles turf. Worthy of respect but again I’ll be surprised if he has enough to trouble the favourite.
NB – Second best selection of the day
THE US NEXT BEST (SECOND BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 8 AT BELMONT PARK ON SUNDAY!
Race 8 Belmont Park 9.47 Dunbar Road (11/10)
Improving filly who looked really promising last time winning by a convincing three lengths at Delaware; more to come now and obvious chance of landing the hat-trick under Jose Ortiz; one to keep on side.
This is a good race and the one I want to be on is DUNBAR ROAD for Chad Brown. This filly by Quality Road is improving all the time and looks set to complete a hat-trick here. She has gears and won impressively last time. This is tougher but she has more to come and looks one to keep on side. Point Of Honor is closest in the betting but she was well held up in grade last time and while it wasn’t a bad effort I do think she’ll need to find more to beat the selection. They met in 2019 and she was held in second so I think that’ll be confirmed here. Letruska won a Grade 3 by a length last time but this is tougher so while she’s respected she also needs to find more from somewhere.
Evening Double
The Evening Double consists of both the NAP & NB and is a great way of covering our two best bets of the night to maximise profit. They run at Keeneland and Belmont Park on Sunday night.
