Galileo colt who left debut run well behind when winning well at Goodwood last month, staying on strongly; learning all the time and should be lots more to come now pitched into a nursery; one to keep on side.

I liked the way ACT OF WISDOM won at Goodwood as he still looked rough round the edges through the race but was firmly on top where it mattered and won readily in the end. He is sure to improve and looks to have been let in lightly off a mark of 82. He cost 1.1m guineas as a yearling so connections will be hoping he can take this before going onto better things. Side Shot is also well bred being by Frankel and found plenty for pressure to win at Wolverhampton when last seen. He looks set to fight it out with the favourite but may always be playing second fiddle. Of the rest Holy Roman Emperor colt Genuflex scored at Windsor in August but has been held since and needs to find more.

Ludlow 3.55 Does He Know (5/4)

Point winner who made a promising start over hurdles last season finishing second on debut at Haydock before improving on that to chase home House Island over C&D last time; sets the standard on that and open to plenty of improvement.

Looking forward to seeing DOES HE KNOW out again for Kim Bailey. I think he could be a promising novice hurdler so fingers crossed he can win this before going onto better things. I love this time of year as the Jumps really is just around the corner. This horse really caught the eye chasing home House Island over C&D 328 days ago and if he improves on that he will be really hard to beat here and that’s reflected in his price. Switch Hitter needed the experience when only fifth in a Chepstow bumper 11 months ago and is the most interesting in opposition. He will improve for the switch to hurdles but again may need the run. Arcadian Pearl is also worth keeping an eye on.
