Friday’s Best Bets
It doesn’t get much better than this with racing live on ITV from Newmarket, York and Chepstow on Friday. It’s the start of the Jumps season with some cracking racing. Also action from Downpatrick, Kempton and Dundalk! The Daily Double pays 11/4, 10/1 Notebook Double, 300/1 Lucky 15 PLUS a 16/1 Mega Acca!
Scroll down to find our most confident selections (NAP & NB) PLUS race-by-race picks for every race across all SIX meetings.
NAP – Best selection of the evening
Chepstow 4.25 Soaring Glory (1/1)
Smart type who made a very promising start in bumpers last year, winning his first two and beating a good horse in Kid Commando at Ascot before chasing home Israel Champ in a Listed contest on final start; exciting hurdling prospect.
I’m really looking forward to the racing from Chepstow on Friday and our best bet goes in the Novice Hurdle in the shape of SOARING GLORY for Jonjo O’Neill. This 5yo has looked potentially useful in bumpers and is open to considerable improvement now going hurdling. His second to Israel Champ shows he’s got a big engine and if he translates that over obstacles he should make a winning start. Bravemansgame cost £370,000 after winning his sole point and actually finished third to the selection at Ascot before failing to back that up in sixth behind him again next time. He retains potential now hurdling and looks the logical choice to chase the favourite home.
NB – Second best selection of the day
Kempton 5.40 Dandys Derriere (5/4)
Lightly raced sort who looked potentially useful when winning impressively at Wolverhampton on just his second start; improved to chase home New Mandate at Sandown and while he wasn’t great last time this is much easier.
The NB won again yesterday so we are now chasing a FIVE-TIMER on Friday. It’s becoming the new NAP! We head to Kempton and DANDYS DERRIERE is expected to prove hard to beat for Brian Meehan and Martin Dwyer. He sets the standard here and with the promise of more to come in a first-time tongue-strap he should have too much for them here. Thapa Vc was sent off at 100/1 on debut but ran well in fifth and can improve. Looks one of the dangers to the selection. Kartvelian also showed ability on debut and can do better so should be fighting it out in behind the favourite for a place. Sepoy gelding Ronan Accuser is probably the most interesting newcomer so keep an eye on the market.
The Daily Double consists of both the NAP and NB and is a great way of covering our two best bets of the day to maximise profit. They run at Chepstow and Kempton on Friday afternoon.

Here’s our Notebook Double. These are two horses we’ve been keeping an eye on that have a good chance of winning. The Tracker Double usually pays better than the Daily Double and must be included.
Here you will find our Daily Lucky 15! It includes both Notebook runners, the Eye Catcher and Value Tip. These are some of our strongest bets of the day combined to try and land that big win.
Cracking day ahead and with 6 meetings again we’ve placed another Mega Acca. It pays 16/1!
