THE US NAP (BEST BET) WON AGAIN LAST NIGHT AND RUNS AT BELMONT PARK ON SATURDAY NIGHT!
Race 9 Belmont Park 9.48 Tacitus (6/5)
Useful colt who won impressively over track and trip on penultimate start; very good second up in grade at Saratoga last time and with the promise of more to come back here looks to have found a great opportunity to make his mark at the top level.
The US NAP won again last night so we’re now chasing a HAT-TRICK of winners Stateside. TACITUS is clearly the one to beat in the Jockey Club Gold Cup at Belmont Park tonight. He won head in chest on penultimate start and lost little in defeat when second last time. Back at this venue I think he’ll have these rivals covered. Happy Saver is 3-3 and obviously brings potential to the table but I think the selection is proven and should have too much if it becomes a battle. Mystic Guide won here last time and has earned a crack at this level but might have his work cutout against the top two. Prioritize not entirely ruled out but this is a good race and I doubt Name Changer will be good enough.

Race 3 Keeneland 7.12 War Detonator (2/1)
Improving colt who showed a good attitude to finish second last time beaten just a length; stepping forward as he gains experience and looks well placed to go one better; should prove hard to beat.
War Front colt WAR DETONATOR is expected to open his account at Keeneland tonight. He finished second to Its A Wrap last time and a reproduction of that would see him go close here. He is entitled to improve again so on that basis is the one to beat. 2/1 seems quite generous to me and I can see him being popular come post time. Always Misbehaving is probably the danger back on dirt but he wasn’t seen to best effect on turf last time so that needs forgiving. Lautrec should do better in time but this might come too soon as he hasn’t shown a great deal in his first two starts. Full Authority was outpaced over 7f last time so the drop to 6f is likely to count against him.
Evening Double
The Evening Double consists of both the NAP & NB and is a great way of covering our two best bets of the night to maximise profit. They run at Keeneland and Belmont Park on Saturday night.
