NAP – Best selection of the evening
THE NAP (BEST BET) WON YESTERDAY AND RUNS AT KEMPTON ON WEDNESDAY!
Kempton 8.00 Red Bravo (2/1)
Built on a couple of encouraging efforts to finally return to winning ways at Nottingham last week, plenty in hand crossing the line; turned out quickly under a penalty and the one to beat if in the same form here.
A 5lb penalty shouldn’t be enough to stop RED BRAVO going in again for Mark Loughnane. He ran out an impressive winner at Nottingham last week and is clearly in great nick right now. This doesn’t look much tougher so if he produces a similar effort here he should come away with the prize. There’s plenty of pace on with the likes of Princess Mayson and Vitesse Du Son likely to push forward. He can get carried into the race before staying on best. Frow is still a maiden after 16 Flat runs and is the closest in the betting so that probably tells the story of how weak this race is. The latter didn’t run badly last time and has to come into calculations but I’ll be surprised if he has what it takes to beat the fav.
NB – Second best selection of the day
THE NEXT BEST (SECOND BEST BET) RUNS AT NOTTINGHAM ON WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON!
Nottingham 3.45 Dakota Gold (9/4)
Back to his best of late winning two of his last four; cracking effort to make all in a Group 3 at York last time, unchallenged; drop back to the minimum ideal and looks a leading player even under a penalty.
It’s hard not to love DAKOTA GOLD and he should have every chance of adding a twelfth career victory at Nottingham this afternoon. Judging by his defeat of The Tin Man at York last time he is thriving again and it’s going to take a good one to beat him. Don’t get me wrong there are some useful types in here like Aljady, Moss Gill and Tis Marvellous but if he’s at his best I fancy him to come out on top. He will look to bounce out and boss them so the start will be pivotal. Bated Breath gelding Aljady has won three of his last four and is the one I fear most. He was seriously impressive at Sandown and then did well to get there at Beverley. Hopefully the favourite is away and gone and not for catching!
