Best bets Stateside on Saturday night
Sky Sports Racing have live coverage of US Racing tonight and we have covered THREE meetings and picked out our best bets.
NAP – Best selection of the evening
THE US NAP (BEST BET) WON AGAIN LAST NIGHT AND RUNS AT BELMONT ON SATURDAY!
Race 4 Belmont 6.16 Graded On A Curve (5/6)
Smart type who has won two of his last three; showed a great attitude under pressure last time to close from off the pace and prevail by a head; more to come for sure given how lightly raced he is and major shout despite going up in grade.
The NAP is chasing a hat-trick Stateside on Saturday night and I’m keen to keep GRADED ON A CURVE on side. This 4yo is improving all the time and he has won two of his last three coming into this. He deserves a crack at better company and looks to have plenty going for him. Yes And Yes and Old Dominion should make sure this is run at a solid tempo and that can suit the selection as he will want to get settled early before coming with a strong late challenge. In terms of a danger it’s probably Singapore Trader. He has been in good form on dirt so has to translate that to turf but looks useful and should fight it out with the favourite.
NB – Second best selection of the day
THE US NEXT BEST (SECOND BEST BET) RUNS AT CHURCHILL DOWNS ON SATURDAY NIGHT!
Race 6 Churchill Downs 7.36 Gold Standard (13/8)
Useful filly who has some good form in the book; won three in a row last year and has largely held her form well in defeat since; encouraging fourth on return not beaten far and with further gains likely now she should go close here.
This looks a good opportunity for GOLD STANDARD to get back on the upgrade. She just looked to need it last month and if she steps forward from that she is a danger to all here. Queen Nekia is a mare I like and she scored on penultimate start before chasing home Jungle Juice last time, beaten just a neck. She is a major player off the back of that so looks the one to serve it up to the favourite. This is competitive though so you couldn’t safely rule out Final Cut either. This filly won well on penultimate start before struggling up in grade last time. I’m keen on the favourite but I also admit it won’t be easy. Goodbye Earl has a bit to prove off that last effort but may be overpriced in terms of a place.
Evening Double
The Evening Double consists of both the NAP & NB and is a great way of covering our two best bets of the night to maximise profit. They run at Belmont and Churchill Downs on Saturday night.
