NAP – Best selection of the evening

THE NAP (BEST BET) WON AGAIN YESTERDAY SO IS NOW CHASING A FOUR-TIMER!

Warwick 12.55 Arian (9/4)

Improved form on first start for Philip Hobbs running out an impressive winner at Newton Abbot last month; up 7lb for that but had plenty in hand and looks well placed to follow up; tough to oppose and likely to be a warm order.

The NAP ran out an easy winner again yesterday as Victory Heights kept on strongly to win at Newcastle. He was backed off the boards in the end so it shows you taking the early price is key. We head over jumps on Wednesday at Warwick and ARIAN looks the one to be on. She showed improved form to win at Newton Abbot last month and if she’s in the same form a 7lb rise won’t be enough to stop her going in again and making it 2-2 for this yard. It looks a very winnable race so it will be disappointing if she can’t go close. Nikap shaped encouragingly on chasing debut when third at Ffos Las last month and is respected. Penny Mallow may emerge as the main threat as she should make a chaser.

NB – Second best selection of the day

THE NEXT BEST (SECOND BEST BET) ALSO WON AGAIN YESTERDAY AND RUNS AT KEMPTON ON WEDNESDAY!

Kempton 7.25 On To Victory (5/2)

Stepped up on three really solid runs to put up a career best at Doncaster last time, running on strongly at the finish; step back up in trip firmly in his favour and should take all the beating again.

It’s hard to get away from ON TO VICTORY here as if he runs his race over this longer trip he should win on the figures. That was a career best last time and he was nicely on top at the finish. He has a 6lb rise to contend with but as his stamina is drawn out further he can shrug that off. Soghan is a C&D winner and he won well at Wolverhampton last time so has to be feared. Rock Eagle is probably just preferred as the danger though as his form is rock solid and he’ll find this easier than the Cesarewitch he contested in last time behind Great White Shark. True Destiny has also struck over this track and trip but failed to fire last time so comes here with a bit to prove.
