Naas 4.05 Lifetime Ambition (7/4)
Useful type who has some very good efforts in defeat; scoped dirty last time so that run can be forgiven and prior to that ran well over a trip shorter than ideal; sets the standard and should have these covered.
This is a very winnable maiden and it represents a great opportunity for LIFETIME AMBITION to get off the mark. His form in defeat stacks up with close seconds to Fighter Allen and Clondaw Secret. He was a good fourth to Stattler who was last seen chasing home Gaillard Du Mesnil and he is fav for the Albert Bartlett next week. He was a good third at Punchestown over an inadequate trip in January and scoped dirty when disappointing last time. If he is back on track he will take a lot of beating here I think and he looks the most likely winner and at a fair enough price too. Willie Mullins sends out Eden Flight for Rich Ricci and he looks the biggest danger but does need to bounce back.

Warwick 1.37 On To Victory (15/8)
Talented sort on the Flat and opened his hurdles account in determined fashion at Wincanton in January; tough ask behind Soaring Glory in the Betfair Hurdle last time and no surprise to see him back on track here.
Finistere is fav here for the Skelton’s and he has to be respected given he is open to improvement but he has had a wind op and that is a bit of a worry given he is such a short price. I’m keen to oppose him and ON TO VICTORY looks very solid in opposition. This horse has a good attitude and he showed that winning his maiden at Wincanton before struggling in the Betfair Hurdle last time. That race is always fiercely competitive and it just didn’t suit. Back in much calmer waters he must have a major chance of getting back to winning ways? Raf Tavel did shape as needing the run at Carlisle and it wouldn’t surprise me if he stepped forward enough to be the danger to the selection.
